The More You Read …

Today’s Word Crush Wednesday Quote is in honor of
National Library Week.

This is one of my favorite reading quotes.  I usually had it displayed in the libraries where I worked.   Reading is such an important skill for our kids to learn. If you have a chance, find some time to read with a kid this week.  (It brings back the joy of reading every time.)  I’m reading The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan with my 2nd grade grandson; plus numerous other shorter books with the two younger grandsons.

I hope you find some reading time in your schedule this week.

What’s your favorite reading quote?  What are you reading now?

  2. As a former school librarian, National Library Week still pops up in my calendar. LOL. DEAR day was one of my favorite days when I taught elementary school. I usually had a big DEAR party. 🙂 Sometimes, I really miss those days.

  3. I did not realize it was National Library Week. Last week Sunday was D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) and April 23 is International World Book and Copyright Day. There have been lots of opportunities to celebrate and promote books and reading. Dr. Seuss was a great philosopher, a lot of meaningful quotes.
