Daisies use to be called “Day’s Eye” because at night the petals close over the center and reopen during the day. So – “Fresh as a Daisy” meant someone had a good night’s rest. Now, it usually refers to being refreshed or full of energy.

Monochrome Madness Challenge
Flowers are not usually the best subject for monochrome photography; however, sometimes you just have to try. The monochrome photo shows the wonderful lines and great shapes of the daisies. I also like how the monochrome photo gives the feel of another era in photography.

Your daisies in monochrome look actually quite good. The main thing is to have good contrast in the original colour photo.
