Standing in the Light

StandingInTheLight_rainydayreflections_Old Presbyterian Church
Sanger, TX
Built in 1902

This old church sits with quiet dignity on a corner in Sanger, Texas.  It was founded in 1896 and built in 1902.  It served as the Presbyterian Church for the Sanger community until 1970 when a bigger building was built.

From 1972 to 1995, the building housed the Sanger Public Library, a museum and a meeting place for various organizations in the community.  The building was designated as a Texas Historic Landmark in the early 1970s.  (Denton Record Chronicle)

This great building was restored to its previous glory in 2016.  According to Waymark.com, the community plans to use the building as an event center.
