In my post, Fair Park –Childress, Texas, I shared how I found the city park in Childress, Texas when I took a turn off of Highway 287. I enjoyed a few hours taking photos at this pretty little lake in the park. I loved the wooden bridge that allows visitors to walk from one side of the lake to the other. The bridge also seemed to be a popular fishing spot.

Childress is a small Texas town located on Highway 287 about 2 hours from Amarillo and 4 hours from Dallas. I’ll be adding a few more photos from my visit to Childress in my next few posts.
What small towns do you enjoy visiting?
