Optimism is the faith that
leads to achievement.
Nothing can be done without
hope and confidence.

hopefulness and confidence about the future or the successful outcome of something.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could have the optimism of a young child all the time. He’s so happy to go fishing. And even though he’s never caught a fish; he believes he’ll catch one any minute. As we get older; sometimes we lose that childlike optimism because experience has taught us that you don’t always catch a fish. I think the key to remaining optimistic is to never give up. Keep fishing even on the bad days.
When my kids were growing up, I always told them they could be anything they wanted to be and do anything they wanted to do. I tried hard to always provide a positive example by showing them that you could accomplish almost anything with a little (or a lot) of hard work. Today, I found myself repeating almost the same words to my 8-year-old grandson. I hope I can instill the same optimism for this next generation.
What helps you remain optimistic even on those difficult days?
