The Sound Of Waves

For just a few seconds
Right before the sun disappeared,
The waves seemed to take on a life of their own.
There was a mysterious light
Reflecting off the waves
As they whispered to the shore
“We are here. We are here.”
Then, in another second
everything returned to normal.
And the waves whispered no more.
