This is the view of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge from our Dallas Hyatt Regency 18th floor hotel room. Here the bridge actually looks as if it is sitting on the top of a building; but you are really seeing the top portion of the bridge only. The remainder of the bridge is behind the building. The Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge was designed by internationally renowned architect Santiago Calatrava and is one of three bridges planned to be built over the Trinity River. This fabulous bridge has a 400 foot center arch and connects Woodall Rodgers Freeway to Singleton Boulevard in West Dallas. Construction began in 2007 and completed in 2012 at a reported cost of $117 million. The bridge is named for Margaret Hunt Hill, an heiress and philanthropist.
