Monochrome Madness / Photography / Photography Challenges

Web or Knot

Trees have always fascinated me.

I love taking photos of all types of trees.  Sometimes the photos are of large groups of trees , an individual tree or as in this case just a portion of a tree.

This Oak tree is located next to the east beach at Lake Kiowa, Texas. I was fascinated by the knot hole on this tree and even more so, once I downloaded the photo.  If you look closely, you can see what looks like a spider web covering the hole.   I almost didn’t take the photo because I was in a hurry that day.  I’m glad that I took the time because the tree was trimmed recently and looks very different.

Do trees fascinate you, also?  What type of trees grow  where you live?   Share a photo in the comments below.

“Around the Bend” is my entry for this week’s Monochrome Madness Challenge. You can join the Monochrome Madness Challenge or view more monochrome photos by visiting Leanne Cole Photography.
