Martin Passenger Plane

Today’s theme is plain — plane! It’s not often you see an abandoned airplane sitting in a field. I had to go back & take a photo. After a little research, I learned it's a 404 Martin passenger plane built in 1952. It was flown by several airlines ending its career with Pro-Air. The Martin resides in a field near the remains of The Flying Tiger Airport & Flight Museum just west of Paris, TX on US 82. #040_plain_plane #picturethis365 #photo_to_keep #texas #texas_ig #roadtrip #airplane #abandoned #1950s #highway82 #atagwithnoname #goodtexasliving #ipulledoverforthis #inspiretexasnow #igersverybest #rsa_ladies #trb_abandoned

The age and surroundings of the plane made it the perfect subject for a monochrome filter.  I think that the monochrome filter changes the tone of the photo putting more emphasis on the condition of the plane and the clouds.
