Word Crush Wednesday

STAR testing is happening this week in Texas schools. These tests have become too high stakes for our students. This type of testing puts so much stress on our students and compares apples to grapefruits to bananas.  There are so many better ways to determine what students are learning.  I like this quote because it reminds us of what education should be about. — Encouraging students to learn.

Good luck to all the students and their teachers.  Testing is one of the things I really don’t miss about teaching.
