Golden Hour
In photography, the golden hour (sometimes known as the magic hour, especially in cinematography) is a period shortly after sunrise or before sunset during which daylight is redder and softer than when the Sun is higher in the sky.
I’ve mentioned before that sunsets are one of my favorite things to photograph. Sometimes, I get lucky and get to experience a truly golden sunset like the one below. It was amazing to see the golden rays of the sun reflecting in the water of the lake.
Golden Rays
A calm evening at the lake after a rainy afternoon results in a golden sunset reflecting in the water of Lake Kiowa, Texas. Lake Kiowa is a small lake about 30 miles north of Denton, TX.
I’m a night person; so sunsets are usually the time I look for the golden hour. Do you like sunrise or sunset best?
Very nice!
