Collinsville, Texas Car Show

We were driving down Texas Highway 377 and lucked upon a Saturday celebration in Collinsville, Texas.  There was live music, food vendors, merchandise booths and a car show. With roots dating back to the 1850s, Collinsville is a true small Texas town. They have a population of 1650, one high school and lots of Texas pride.  The people we met were friendly and the town is charming.

After a little research, I learned that Pirate Island, a local diner, sponsors this Classic Car Show event.  I found conflicting info on how often the show is held.  One source, I found said that a car show is held every 3rd Saturday.  Another source said that it was only held once a year.  Hopefully, someone in the know will read this and give me the correct information.

Of course, any car show is something my hubby is going to want to check out.  We’ve been living in the area for a little over a year; so, we are happy to find this car show to add to our list of area activities.

I didn’t get photos of all the cars because our grands were with us.  They had other things on their minds than photography — even of cool cars.  I’ll try to get to the next show to get more photos.
