Old McCaysville Bridge
We came across this bridge while traveling around North Carolina. On this day trip we left from Murphy, North Carolina and in just a few miles, we found ourself in Georgia.
Somehow, we came across the towns of McCaysville, Georgia/ Cooperhill, Tennessee. The towns are right on the state lines of Georgia and Tennessee. This bridge actually connects the two towns. It was even more interesting because you could, also, stand on a blue line with one foot in Georgia and one in Tennessee.
A truss bridge, records indicate that it was possibly built as early as 1911. It was a cloudy, grey day which made for interesting shadows on the bridge
