This quote is a controversial one because the author isn’t known for sure. It is attributed to Picasso most often. Regardless of who originally made the statement, I think it says much about life. You are a lucky person if you find that something that is your special gift and are even more lucky when you are able to share that gift with others.
Life’s Gifts
Thinking about my life, I would say that my special gift is teaching. Even though I no longer teach in an educational setting, I still often find myself in teaching like situations. To be truthful, as much as I love my present day life, I still miss teaching everyday.
I also enjoy photography and writing. I’d like to think that those are also gifts; but that is yet to be seen. I do try to share with others through this blog and a photography website Linda James Photography. My desire is not to be famous; but to be good enough to bring joy to someone who sees or reads my work.
What about you?
What special gift or gifts do you have? How have you shared them up to this point?
Thoughtful Thursdays
As part of my 2018 goal to Spread Joy, I am sharing quotes, poetry, photos and sometimes just my thoughts on Thursdays — Thoughtful Thursdays. My hope is that these posts will help me (and maybe others) focus on the joys of life.
Thoughtful Thursday Link Up
I’d love to have others join me. It’d be wonderful to have a full-page of great quotes, poetry and photos to share. Simply email me at rainydayreflections2015@gmail.com your positive or thoughtful quote, photo or poetry along with your post link by 2:00 PM CST each Wednesday. We are working on spreading joy; so please stay positive. I’ll combine everything and post on Thursday afternoon. (You do not have to be a Word Press blogger or write a post to participate; but I will post your link if you choose to write a post.)
We are on the same wavelength, especially when it comes to missing teaching and to enjoying photography. Thank you!

Before we moved from Alberta to BC, I was teaching Math, German and French at a High School. Here in Fauquier I taught a multi-grade class (4-7).
