Texas Sunset (BW)

TexasSunset_LindajamesPhotography_HDR.jpeg

Sunsets don’t always make great subjects for monochrome photos.  Often a sunset in monochrome looks moody or stormy and we miss all the colors nature provides at sunset.  However, I think this sunset photo works well in monochrome.  The clouds look gorgeous and the little ray of sunshine at the horizon keeps the photo from being gloomy.

How do you feel about monochrome photography?  Do you think that all subjects do well in monochrome?
