2015 in review

The New Year

The beginning of the new year is the perfect time to look at the 2015  data for Rainy Day Reflections.  It’s been just about a year since I began to blog more — with the goal of posting several times a week.  I missed a few weeks; but managed to post an average of 1.4 posts a week.  (A spot for improvement perhaps?)

2015 Successes
(and a Few Needs Improvement)

My goal for the year was 10,000 views and to double my followers.  The view goal was passed by the middle of October and the year-end total was 12,888 views.  My visitor total was 5,550 which seems pretty good; but for some reason my followers didn’t increase as much as the visitor total did. My follower totals doubled from last December; but it’s still something i need to work on increasing.  I need to find something to keep readers and viewers coming back to visit.

Word Press Annual Report

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 13,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Here are a few more items from the report:

  • There were 676 pictures uploaded. That’s about 2 pictures per day.
  • In 2015, there were 174 new posts
  • Viewers from 100 countries in all!
Most visitors came from The United States. United Kingdom & Canada were not far behind.

According to Word Press these are my most viewed posts.

After looking at all this data it’s time to set some goals for 2016. I’ll be sharing that post in a few days.

What goals have you set for 2016?
