A Truly Haunted House – Monochrome Madness Challenge

hauntedhouse_rainydayreflections-comA Truly Haunted House

This house has sat empty for many years just off of a Texas country road.   The door has been knocked down either by animals or vandals and the window frames are all that are left of the windows.  Many of the boards are warped and rotting; but it still tries to stand strong against time.

I imagine as I look at this sad, lonely house, the family that once lived here.  They had hopes and dreams.  They shared meals and holidays.  They shared workdays and weekends.  The stories are there just floating in the air.  This is truly a haunted house — haunted by the past and without a future.
