Silver Feather – Monochrome Madness Challenge

silverfeather_rainydayreflections-com__Silver Feather

Silver Feather was built in 1948 for the famous California Zephyr.  It has had many names and homes throughout the years until 2010 when it was bought by the Arkansas & Missouri line.  It was renamed Silver Feather and became a part of the excursion train in Arkansas.

Travel Theme

“Silver Feather” is my entry for this week’s Monochrome Madness Challenge. This week’s theme was “travel”.  I think this railroad car more than fits the theme.  The railroad car started out as an important part of travel in the late 1940s and now it allows people to experience that type of travel again as part of an excursion train.  It’s a great trip if you ever get to Arkansas.
