I’ve recently found myself photographing old, decaying, rusty items such as this old car. My eye just seems to be drawn to these old things.  I love to imagine the history and stories behind the items.  First of all, it always amazes me that the items can survive for so long when they’ve long been forgotten in a field or next to an old dilapidated building. It also makes me sad that we let pieces of our history simply deteriorate and rot away.

You can see by its rusty condition that this car has been sitting here for a long time.  Yet, the four tires sitting in front of it seem to say that someone hopes that with some work this car could run again.
